Clutch is a mechanical device used to connect Driving and Driven shaft so that the driven shaft can be started and stopped at the will of an operator, without stopping Driving shaft.
Application – Most widely used in Automobiles.
Clutches are classified as follows:-
- Positive Clutches,
- Friction Clutches,
- Electromagnetic Clutches, and
- Centrifugal Clutches.
